“There comes a time when it is no longer important to prove one’s point, but simply to live, to surrender to God, and to love.” Thomas Merton
Love really is the greatest! How many problems would be averted, sins covered, orphans embraced as family, marriages reconciled, and widows cared for if love would abound in our hearts and in this world. Lord, teach me to love like you do.
God is up to something. I have lately felt a challenge, a stirring, a call to love more deeply, more fully, more authentically like Christ. I am so deeply and magnificently blessed myself. I feel the Spirit blowing a fresh wind over my heart which has been focused so intently on personal goals for the past few years. I hear God saying, “Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes” (Isaiah 54:2).
In light of this, I want to draw your attention to a blog which I “stumbled upon” this morning which has challenged and stirred my heart. It is written by a young woman, Katie who left all to go to Kampala, Uganda and give all for Christ. I am so stirred this morning by her commitment and the grace of God on her life. I encourage you to check out her blog and her ministry. There is also a link for giving if you’d like. kissesfromkatie.blogspot.com/
“And now these three remain, faith, hope and love. But, the greatest of these is love.” 1 Cor 13:13
