A true friend knows your weaknesses but shows you your strengths; feels your fears but fortifies your faith; sees your anxieties but frees your spirit; recognizes your disabilities but emphasizes your possibilities.

PROVERBS 17:17 “A friend loves at all times.”
In times of sorrow, true friends are there. In times of victory, true friends cheer the loudest! I am so grateful for the friends God has given who have truly “loved at all times.” You know who you are, and I thank you!
Dear God, please help us to be better friends.
Would you like to share a comment about a true display of friendship that has touched your life? Feel free.
What happens when you are truthful and the friend decides you were not such a good friend because you stood for your beliefs, which were different than hers. In my experience I have found that the only true friend we have is JESUS. He is the only one who can love us unconditionally. We are incapable of such a thing, we try, but eventually, we let each other down. I have found that I put too much of myself into others and not enough into Jesus. Father forgive me.
There’s no way around offending others with our faith at times. Also, taking a godly stand, being unwilling to compromise because of your belief in Christ is something an unbeliever cannot understand. It is still a witness to them though. All we can do is try to love them as Jesus does and know that He is the only One who can change a heart. I have many people that I love but my closest friends are those who also know Christ. By the way, Christian or not, sometimes we will let people down. We’re only human; thankfully saved by grace.
